Strategy
The Peacebuilding Mapping Project is one of several, high-impact action learning projects designed to support new strategies and interventions by organizations working to address some of the world's most complex issues. iScale is leading this innovative project to identify and engage global leaders in clear and strategic action to build a more vibrant and effective system to address conflict.

The action-mapping process yields new information and analysis on: (1) prominent and potentially important organizations; (2) key and emerging roles; and (3) connectedness, interactions, and exchanges among organizations and roles. We believe this action mapping approach will increase and improve the knowledge, energy and commitment to enter the next phases of field-building and strengthen the vibrancy of the network of organizations working to end conflict.
The approach itself is not a desk research or academic exercise. Rather it is an interactive process in which key stakeholders play a critical role in formulating the questions, generating the data and information, and ultimately in providing interpretations of the research and recommendations for strategic action. Another critical supporting component of the broader project will be the production of a comprehensive directory of the organizations across sectors in the field.
The goals of the mapping project include the following:
iScale works with global leaders from NGOs, international organizations, government agencies, the private sector, and various military entities to help illuminate important features of the global peacebuilding landscape. The mapping will provide leaders with important tools and critical analysis to improve strategic, multi-sector collaboration and support innovative approaches to address conflict.
